The Ballina Electorate covers an area of 980 square kilometres encompassing:
- Alstonville,
- Wollongbar,
- Ballina, Byron Bay,
- Mullumbimby,
- Brunswick Heads,
- Ocean Shores and
- Wardell.
The approximate number of registered voters is 44,000 with an overall population of about 60,000 people.
