Outstanding businesswomen in the Ballina Electorate have the opportunity to nominate and enter the 2010 Telstra Business Women’s Awards, which are now open.
Don Page, Member for Ballina said today there were many successful local business women in the Ballina Electorate who deserved the State and National recognition which finalists and winners have enjoyed since the Awards began 16 years ago.
“The Telstra Business Women’s Awards are a great opportunity to highlight and celebrate the roles and achievements of so many talented and inspiring business women in our local community,” Mr Page said.
“I am certain that everyone in the Ballina Electorate works with or knows of outstanding women who might be local business owners, managers or employees in the corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors.
“There are also many local entrepreneurs and young business women who deserve our support through these Awards and I encourage the people of the Ballina Electorate to get involved through the nominations and entries.
“Past entrants say that even participating in the Awards has proved beneficial as it allows them to take stock, review their personal objectives and engage with other business women.”
Mr Page said entries for the 2010 Telstra Business Women’s Awards close on 21 June and the NSW winners will be named on 24 September.
